The following one-hour workshops will be held in August for faculty researchers who are new, or relatively new, to Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery and Linkage Project grant development. Each session will be facilitated by Debbie Thackray with expert tips and advice from successful FECM ARC applicants and plenty of time for questions.
The FECM Strategic Review 2009 has now reached the stage where the Review Co-Chairs are developing a consolidated report of the outcomes of the review, formulated from the recommendations, options and issues identified in the papers produced by each Strategic Review area. This consolidated report will be presented to the Faculty on Thursday 30th July 2009 at 3.00pm in the Murdoch Lecture Theatre.
Staff are encouraged to continue participating and contributing to the Strategic Review, and to continue checking the Strategic Review website for review updates and details of any upcoming Faculty events.
When we think about team teaching we start to ask questions like: how would you do this; and, if you did, why would you do it? This workshop addresses these questions by providing an opportunity to learn about various team teaching approaches as ways of making the teaching and learning environment in a higher education context more learner-centred, efficient and fun.
The new Science Library building will open at the southern end of campus on 20 July. The Science Library is a planned extension to the existing Biological Sciences Library Building, and was designed by Ferguson Architects.
