A deep-sea canyon new to science has been discovered on the continental shelf near the Montebello Islands by students from The University of Western Australia, James Cook University and the University of Tasmania.
Applications are now invited for UWA Research Development Awards commencing in 2011. The UWA Research Development Awards provide an opportunity for early career researchers to develop skills required for submitting grant applications and research plans. These skills would be built upon for future research projects and to build track records for external grant competitiveness.
