UWA has eagerly taken on board feedback from staff across the University about our annual Expo, including the preference of many staff for the campus to be a brighter and more exciting place on the day! As such, Expo is being relaunched in 2009 as the UWA Open Day.
We are pleased to announce that this year the Faculty will be acknowledging our 2008 award winning students by hosting a celebration breakfast in the Banquet Hall at The University Club on Thursday, 21st May 2009; 7.45am - 9.30am
The Community and Industry Partnerships, Alumni and Foundations Strategic Review Co-Chairs, Mr Tim Shanahan and Professor Mark Cassidy, are holding their open scoping workshop to investigate current issues and performance in this strategic review area.
The Research Strategic Review Area Co-Chairs, Professor Cheryl Praeger and Professor Mark Randolph, are holding their first open scoping workshop for the Strategic Review 2009. This first workshop is aimed at Level A, B and recently promoted Level C Faculty Academic Staff, and Faculty Professional Staff who are involved in research at this level.

This Australian Centre for Geomechanics course is designed to develop specific underground mining geomechanics competencies for mine geologists and engineers so their contribution to mine site geomechanics programme is enhanced.
