An exciting new initiative for staff is here... Based on the successful model developed at the Lund Institute of Technology, FASE (the Faculty Academy for the Scholarship of Education) is a membership organisation for staff in the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics, with developmental and capacity building facilities and the scope to act as a clearing house for educational concerns.

The Australian Synchrotron, in conjunction with ANZAAS (The Australian and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science), will be hosting the annual Winter School on Synchrotron Radiation Science from 12-15 July, 2010. The school aims to assist early career researchers to develop an understanding of synchrotron radiation science and its applicability to a vast range of fields of scientific research.

The welcome was a great success and the initial feedback from students indicates they had a really great time and feel a lot more confident about starting their life as ECM students! This would not have been possible without the support of our fantastic staff helpers!
