Late last year, UWA Business School graduate Wadzi Katsidzira gave up her job at the WA Department of Treasury and Finance to move to Kenya. Now, Wadzi is facing whole new challenges at Kwetu Training Centre for Sustainable Development (Kwetu), where she is working as part of AusAid's Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development Program (AYAD).

UWA Business School graduate David Halperin has won the 2010 Undergraduate Prize for the Western Australian Branch of the Australian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society (AARES). The prize is awarded annually by the society and recognises merit in undergraduate performance in agricultural and/or resource economics.
UWA Business School Four graduates from The University of Western Australia are among the Oxford Saïd Business School (SBS) MBA class of 2010. Farell Sutantio, Claire Zani, Leonard Lau, and Carlo Bellini all successfully graduated from Oxford University's globally-focused management course earlier this year, giving UWA alumni a disproportionately strong presence among the 2010 year group.
UWA Business School David Halperin only graduated in September, but already he has secured a graduate job with the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) in Sydney.
For the Economics honours student, who has completed a combined Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics with six different majors, it's a dream job. ‘The RBA is the premier economic institution in Australia and it sets me up very well for future career development,' says David. ‘The on-the-job education it provides over two years is invaluable.'
The Malaysian student is currently finishing her thesis on the topic of ‘Social media as a marketing tool.' As part of her research, she has looked at word-of-mouth in the travel industry, and the ways in which businesses can create their own social media profiles.
The 2010 Deloitte Dream Team competition invited Western Australian university students to address a realistic business case study, gaining valuable real-life work experience and the opportunity to win a cash prize.
