UWA Master of Business Administration (MBA) students reached the Grand Final of an international case competition in Toronto after impressing judges with an outstanding presentation on sustainability in mining.

When two UWA Business School students noticed a lack of role models for young engineers aspiring to work in the humanitarian and development sector, they founded the Global Humanitarian Engineering Awards (GHEA).
UWA Business School marketing student Glenn Langridge was given the opportunity to work closely with Google employees and learn intensively about sales, marketing, presentation and, of course, about Google when he attended a three-day Google AdCamp in Sydney earlier this year.
Glenn was one of only 25 students from Australia and New Zealand invited to participate in the first Google AdCamp for the region, and was the only successful applicant from Western Australia.
Enactus UWA was named runner up in the Enactus National Championships, recognising the team's achievements in managing a diverse portfolio of projects, all of which use the power of business to improve the quality of life for people in need.
The Championships, held in Sydney from 3-5 July, required Enactus teams from around the country to present their annual reports and presentations to a team of judges drawn from the Australian business community.
UWA Business School student Benjamin Faraone spent his summer holidays travelling through China and gaining international work experience-all while earning credit towards his degree.
Benjamin, who is majoring in Finance and Economics, completed a three-week internship at the Charlesworth Group (known as Charlesworth China), a global publishing services company, followed by a four-week internship at Forex Signs Incorporated (FSI), a market research company which identifies investment opportunities in the foreign exchange market.
