Coming from a family of teachers, Freehills' Business Development and Client Relationship Manager, Mr Lindsay O'Sullivan said lifelong learning was second nature to him when he completed an Executive MBA with the UWA Business School.
The annual Senior Executive Forum held in July 2007 was an outstanding success with great contributions from Professors Jay Conger and Srikant Datar. More than 50 senior executives gathered at the Vines Resort for three days to discuss, debate and challenge strategy, leadership and implementation.

Armed with this belief and a strong practice of staff development, Hawaiian selected the Leadership Development Program with AIM-UWA Business School Alliance as its training program for staff development.
March witnessed more than 700 Business School students graduate, with more than 460 undergraduates receiving a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Economics. 41 graduated with a masters degree, 26 with honours, 27 with a graduate diploma or certificate and 137 with MBAs. A special mention must go to our graduates attending from offshore campuses in Singapore, Manila and Jakarta.
This month, the UWA Business School celebrates the achievements of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Management and Innovation (CEMI). Associate Professor Tim Mazzarol, the driving force behind CEMI, will shift from administering the centre to focusing on his research. Prof Mazzarol will be taking a well-deserved sabbatical in July for a year, spending most of his time completing his two book projects. This will include spending four months in Europe gathering and finalising five years of research generated via CEMI from 13 countries around the world.
Internationally renowned leadership author, consultant, researcher and academic Amanda Sinclair visited Perth in early May as the inaugural speaker for the Alcoa Visiting Professor Program at the UWA Business School and the Consortium for Diversity at Work.
Latest research into the under representation of women leaders in the Western Australian public sector conducted by the UWA Business School's Consortium for Diversity at Work (CDW) has identified the need for a more coordinated approach as the key to increasing the number of women leaders in the public sector. Key recommendations are the establishment of a ‘Women's Leadership Development Unit' and the appointment of a government Minister solely responsible for women's leadership development.
It is well recognised that the nature and organisation of work is undergoing rapid and far reaching change and diversity. How employers and society deal with this diversity will be crucial for not only the success of government and businesses, but the implications for us as individuals.
