The University has been advised by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (FESA) that they will commence charging a $750 fee for attendance to a fire alarm activation that is deemed false by the attending FESA crews.
From Friday 24 – Sunday 26 July 2015 Western Power is undertaking critical maintenance to the University’s power infrastructure at the Crawley Campus (including the Ken and Julie Michael Building).
We urge you to review this information and immediately action any items to minimise the potential for any power impact to your area. We also request staff to assist where possible to reduce power usage to reduce risks to power surges, interruptions and outages.
Please be aware that sections of the pedestrian path between the Octagon Building and the Arts Building -adjacent to Riley Oval, will have limited pedestrian access from approximately 7am Monday 13 July to 5pm Friday 17 July.
UWA’s Campus Management has isolated the gas supply to various buildings as a result of disruption caused by construction works. Whist the issue is being rectified the supply of gas will remain isolated until it is safe to return its flow.
Campus Management will be changing the electrical distribution boards on the first and second floors of the Soil Science Building (402). The current distribution boards are now old and unsafe to work on.
