Temporary closure of Fairway Entry 3

From Monday 22 January until Sunday 4 February, Fairway Entry 3 will be closed to traffic. Access to Carpark 15 (south of Fairway Entry 3) will be available via a temporary access path next to the IOMRC building (the security bollards will be dropped for this).

From Monday 15 January until Monday 30 April 2018, Campus Management will carry out excavation works along Gillett Promenade. This will result in a temporary narrowing of the footpath along Gillett Promenade, in the area adjacent to James Oval.

From 5.00 – 7.00am on Wednesday 20 December, Campus Management will close a section of Car Park 15 (outside Environmental Systems Engineering). Sections of the nearby public parking on Fairway will also be unavailable at this time.

Security and UniPark hours over University shutdown period

The UniPark office will close at 12pm on Friday 22 December (cashier from 1pm on Wednesday 20 December) and re-open on Thursday 5 January 2018. Any urgent parking enquiries during the University’s shutdown period should be directed to the Security Office.

Parking during the student vacation period

Student vacation commences on Monday 27 November 2017 and runs until Friday 23 February 2018. During this period the following parking regulations will apply.

Crawley site

Student permit parking bays (indicated by yellow signs) are available to non-permit holders during the vacation period. These bays are located in car parks 1, 4, 8, 9, 21 (Broadway level) 35 and 43. Staff permit holders are to use staff permit parking bays where available. 

All other traffic and parking regulations apply.

Watch out for swooping birds on campus

Spring is the season when birds such as magpies and willy-wagtails swoop, and the number of birds on campus this year is high.

Staff and students please watch out for swooping birds, particularly between the Administration building and Hackett Hall.

As part of University IT’s Telephony Upgrade Project, including upgrade of the campus PABX and Line Interface Modules, the phones at Nedlands campus will be out of service from 5.30am Monday 9 October to 7.30am Tuesday 10 October.
