Economics Cocktail Evening
The Economics cocktail evening held in the first semester, was one of ECOM's best in the series.  Hosted by Ron Manners - Business School donor, in conjunction with the UWA Careers Center, the evening attracted a large student body as well as industry heavy weights such as KPMG, Mannkal Economic Education Foundation, Mainsheet Corporate, Marsden Jacob Associates, and Ernst & Young. The evening was a great success- not only were students able to walk away with great contacts, but they also gained great wisdom from business owners, partners, and graduates.

Marketing Cocktail Evening
On 11 September 2008, a Marketing cocktail evening was held with guest speaker Andrew Scott from 303 Group.  Students in attendance were able to gain fantastic advice and information from representatives such as KPMG (official 2008 Career Cocktail Series Partner), the Advertising Federation of Australia, The US Entertainment Group and BC&Y.  Having face to face exposure to the Perth marketing industry was a great opportunity for the many students that attended.  The evening was enjoyed by all and guest speaker Andrew Scott proved to be an engaging, funny and insightful speaker- definitely a crowd favourite!

ECOMS Annual Ball
This year the ECOMS annual ball broke the record as the largest student ball in Australia, with a head count of 1,460 people attending on 6 September 2008.  Students and staff alike put on their finest and thoroughly enjoyed one of our most popular events.  The ball was sponsored through the generous support of KPMG and thanks to them we were able to hold this fantastic event once again.
