Thursday, 1st May is the opening of the first nomination period for the 2008 Faculty Teaching Awards. A second nomination period will open in October.

Awards are grouped into three broad categories:

  • Excellence in teaching (including categories for tutors, team-teaching, and research supervision among others)
  • Programs that enhance learning, and
  • Citations for outstanding contributions to student learning

Last year, in the inaugural Faculty-based Teaching Awards, over 60 nominations were received with many nominees then taking the opportunity to produce detailed applications.

Nominations can be made online via the Faculty Teaching Awards website.

Nominees wishing to take up the nomination aren't required to make a submission until late 2008.

Nominations close on the 31st May and will reopen in October.
