UWA has had a strong start to UniSport Nationals already, with our Kendo team picking up silver in the Ryu teams competition on Sunday, their best ever result.

Today, UWA saw teams across ultimate, beach volleyball, badminton, table tennis, futsal, fencing and basketball all competing on the first official day of competition.

Mixed Ultimate started strong, with a convincing 15-1 win over Griffith University, before finishing the day with another win against RMIT, 11-9.

Over on the beach, our men’s beach volleyball pair are off to a flying start recording two wins, against the University of Sydney (2-1) and University of New South Wales (2-0).

Our men’s badminton team are looking strong after being crowned champions at Division 2, and today had a great win over RMIT (3-2), player KC was a standout.

Despite huge efforts, our futsal, basketball, table tennis and fencing teams are yet to record outright wins.

All the action continues tomorrow!
