The 2019 NBL 3x3 Big Hustle proved an action packed competition at the University of Sydney as Team UWA reached the quarter finals.

UWA had a strong start to the competition, with four wins and one loss on day one, including a tightly fought over-time win against Bond University.

A close loss to eventual second ranked University of Newcastle ended UWA’s title hopes, with student athlete James Walker bowing out injured.

A one-point loss to RMIT led to UWA battling out against Deakin for seventh place, which Team UWA secured in a two-point win.

UWA ended the tournament firmly in the top half of competing teams, with plenty of hunger to return next year and challenge for the title.
