The University of Western Australia has launched an early offer program for students with an expected ATAR of 80 and above.

UWA Future Students Director Trish Rechichi said the early offer program has been introduced in response to demand from high schools and prospective students.

“School leavers have told us that getting a UWA early offer reduces uncertainty and allows them to focus on their final exams,” Ms Rechichi said. “Australian Universities are increasingly establishing this process.”

Year 12 students planning to study at UWA next year can now apply for an early offer for bachelor degrees in arts, biomedical sciences, commerce and science, as well as direct pathways to postgraduate studies in architecture, engineering, landscape architecture and translation studies.

Applications for early offers are open until Monday 30 September 2019. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis, with most applicants receiving an outcome within two to five working days.

Early offers will be conditional on applicants achieving the entry requirements for their chosen course.

Applicants are still required to apply through TISC for offers to become unconditional or to apply for quota-based courses, additional entry pathways and opportunities such as the Hackett Scholarship.
