As part of Harmony Week 2019, the Division of Pharmacy in the School of Allied Health, held a ceremony to unveil two beautiful pieces of Aboriginal artwork in the Curnow Building. These will be permanent fixtures and a visual reminder to all who come through the building of the significance of the traditional owners of the land, as well as a reminder to celebrate each other’s diversity.
This was the first of many activities held on campus throughout the week, all of which aimed to foster in our community a global consciousness inherent in the principle of unity in diversity.
Harmony Week runs from 15-21 March every year to coincide with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on March 21. It was a fantastic opportunity for UWA to celebrate its vibrant multicultural community of staff and students.
