Two of UWA Nedlands FC’s finest players will join Western Australia when the state team take on the Indonesian national side this weekend.

Josh Marocchi and Alex Kretowicz from UWA Nedlands FC’s State League first team will both join up with a selection of the best Western Australian players, with former Glory player and Football West Development Officer Brad Hassell coaching.

The game will form an important part of the players’ preseason preparations, after making it to the Night Series Semi-Final, before bowing out with a 4-3 loss to Forrestfield.

Although a disappointing loss, it will remain one to remember after Alex Kretowitz scored a stunning overhead scissor kick.

The opportunity for the UWA duo to test their skills against an international side is a fantastic boost heading into a crucial season.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for our State League players to test themselves against international players,” said Football West Head of Development Jamie Harnwell.

UWA Nedlands is one of WA's largest Football Clubs, with over 1,500 men, women, boys and girls who play at various levels of ability. For more information on how to join the club, head to uwanfc.com.au/
