Congratulations to Professor Natalie Skead, Dean and Head of UWA Law School, who is now a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), following the success of her application to Advance HE for Principal Fellowship at the recent Recognition Panel.

Advance HE Fellowships encourage individual professional development in learning and teaching throughout the higher education sector. With their origins in the United Kingdom, these Fellowships have been adopted by higher education institutions internationally, with over 112,000 Fellows across the globe.

With four major categories of Fellowship; Associate Fellow (AFHEA), Fellow (FHEA), Senior Fellow (SFHEA) and Principal Fellow (PFHEA), successful Principal Fellow applicants are awarded on the basis of demonstrating the four UKPSF Descriptors.

Principal Fellowship is the highest level of achievement and provides successful applicants with reward and recognition for their commitment and contribution to student learning, as well as the positive influence they have amongst colleagues as a strategic leader.

Professor Skead has joined a prestigious group of just over 1,000 Principal Fellows.

“I am delighted and honoured to join an esteemed community that is committed to and passionate about student learning. I look forward to working with and contributing to the Academy.” Professor Skead said.

Advance HE is committed to working in partnership with Principal Fellows to nurture and grow collective expertise in the pursuit of teaching excellence.
