UWA MAN v FAT Soccer is back for a second season after a successful debut.

87 players shed a combined total of 515kg in the pilot season, which saw men travel from as far as Australind to join in the action.

MAN v FAT Soccer is for overweight and obese men of any fitness level - every player is in the same situation and wants the same thing.

Players are surrounded by other men who want to lose weight and have fun while doing it.

Expert advice is on hand, with a league coach, dedicated website, player handbook, as well as support and encouragement from the other players on the team.

Players join a 6 a-side soccer team and play a match each week, but uniquely, their team's position in the league is decided not just by goals scored on the pitch, but also by weight lost each week.

The success in the UK is undeniable:  since the program opened in January 2016, there are now over 50 leagues and 4,500 men involved across the UK, who together have managed to lose over 50,000kg.

After a strong debut season at UWA, MAN v FAT has now expanded in Australia, with a brand new league at the Cockburn Bowling and Recreational Club.
