Masters student, Jodie Atkinson was recently the Conference Chair and Chair of the National Organising Committee for the Australian College of Midwives Conference 2018. She worked closely with their National office and core committee to organise the conference, which had 430 delegates attend over four days in Perth, WA. Jodie was a Co-Chair of the Science Program, working closely with the Scientific Chair in putting together an extensive scientific program which included five keynote speakers, 94 concurrent sessions and 11 workshops. In addition, she was Co-Chair of the Social Program – organising the Welcome Reception, Opening Ceremony, Gala Dinner and Closing Ceremony – and Co-Chair of the Creative Arts Committee. She also delivered an oral presentation, a poster and a creative arts exhibition.
