The University is calling for nominations for a Professional and General Staff representative on the UniSuper Consultative Committee.

The function of the Consultative Committee is to advise and make recommendations to the Trustee as well as to give its consent in relation to any matter under the Trust Deed.

Nominees must be a current member of the UniSuper Defined Benefit Division or Accumulation Fund, as well as being a Professional or General employee of UWA, to be eligible.

The University is seeking nominations for the staff representative role on a four-year elected term. The UniSuper Consultative Committee meets once a year.

The role of the Consultative Committee representative is to:

  • share views with a selection of colleagues within the university
  • liaise with other employee representatives
  • interact with the Consultative Committee elective Board directors
  • communicate with members and fund when required


How to nominate
To nominate yourself or someone else email a brief summary detailing the reasons for nomination, the nominees knowledge of superannuation along with any other relevant information and the UniSuper membership number of the employee being nominated to [email protected] .

Nominations close 5pm, Friday 5 October 2018 . If more than two employees are nominated, a ballot may be held.

UniSuper is the industry superannuation for universities across Australia and the Consultative Committee is comprised of employer and employee representative from each university.
