The Chevron City to Surf for Activ marathon and half-marathon runners will be running through the UWA Campus on Sunday 26 Aug between 6am and 9am.

The organisers have permission to block some internal roads for the duration and have asked that we communicate the road closures and “obstacles” to the university community.

The runners will depart from Perth between 6am and 7.30am and will travel down Mounts Bay Rd, which will be closed to traffic in both directions.

The routes will enter campus as follows:

Half-marathon from Hackett Drive adjacent to The University Club and Riley Oval
Marathon from Fairway 4, through Carpark 43 and around the eastern edge of James Oval

The ring road between Carpark 1 and The University Club will be closed to traffic from 5.30am-9.00am
Fairway 4 will be closed to traffic (except for emergency access) from 5.30am-9.00am

The runners will then exit the campus via the Winthrop Underpass, and run up Thomas Rd at the side of University Hall before heading into Kings Park.

All Campus roads should be accessible by 9am.

Anyone likely to be on campus during this time should consider their best options for parking and movement around the campus.
