UWA has signed an agreement with Melbourne University’s Australia India Institute (AII) to host an affiliate centre, which will sit within the UWA Public Policy Institute (UWA PPI). Two post-doctoral positions will soon be recruited to as part of this program.

An opportunity exists for a senior UWA academic with mentoring experience to take a business development and mentorship role in the UWA AII affiliate centre. The role will include:

  • working with UWA PPI and the International Office to maximise the profile and impact of UWA AII, within the overall framework of the University’s India Engagement Strategy;
  • developing and enhancing the relationship with AII in Melbourne; and
  • providing leadership and mentoring to support the career development of the two UWA AII postdocs.

It is anticipated this role will be covered within the existing Service element of the academic’s workload, with administrative support to be provided by UWA PPI.

Interested applicants should submit a brief expression of interest including a CV and a cover letter (up to two pages) outlining your suitability to perform the responsibilities outlined above.
