As at 10 July 31% of Faculty staff have completed their appraisals, 24% had commenced the process and 45% are yet to activate their appraisal. Appraisals are due for completion by the end of July 2018. For further information visit staff appraisal resources.
A recent notice was sent to all staff regarding the Christmas closedown period for 2018/19. This year the University Executive has decided to extend the closedown period by two days to provide a full two week break. The last working day will be Friday, 21 December 2018 and staff will return to work on Monday, 7 January 2019.
While this closedown period will mostly utilise public holidays accrued throughout the year, staff will also be required to take two days of accrued time in lieu of overtime, banked flexi-time, annual leave, long service leave or leave without pay.
The Christmas period offers a great opportunity for you to take additional leave, and something you are strongly encourage to take advantage of. The time off gives you the chance to look after your wellbeing; have a well-earned break, spend time with friends and family and come back refreshed for the New Year.
