Having spent much of the last 25 years working for The University of Western Australia, Mark Stickells will soon be leaving the organisation to take up the role of Director of the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre . Mark’s last day at UWA will be 22 June 2018.

Throughout his career at UWA, Mark has worked with teams of innovative researchers and technical experts tackling important issues from energy to agriculture, and has a deep track record in effective collaboration and strategy building across complex and disparate stakeholder groups. In his most recent roles as Director, Innovation and Industry Engagement and previously as Director of the Energy and Minerals Institute, Mark’s commitment to ensuring WA plays a key role in national research and innovation strategy led to securing significant industry partnerships and major investment for the University. We thank Mark for his positive contribution over his time at UWA and wish him all the best in his new role.

After Mark’s departure, matters relating to the Innovation and Industry Engagement area should be referred to Robyn Sermon who will be acting in the role.
