The QEIIMC Trust has undertaken a review of parking permits ahead of the opening of the Perth Children’s Hospital in mid-May.

As a result, Priority Group 3 users (staff who work at QEII between 7am and 6.30pm) may no longer have access to weekday parking permits. This includes a number of UWA staff. If you feel your assigned parking isn’t suitable, you may appeal the decision via the QEII Parking Office.

The University recommends that staff consider the following transport and parking options.

UWA parking

UWA staff are eligible to apply for a UWA staff parking permit . There are numerous staff parking bays across the Crawley and Nedlands campuses. Some of these areas are a 10-15 minute walk from the QEII site, or a 5-10 minute bus ride.

Public transport

The following bus routes include a stop at QEII:

More information on public transport is available from Transperth .

External Parking

The following carparks may be suitable for UWA staff:

  • Matthews Netball Centre – Corner Salvado Rd/Selby Street Jolimont – free parking with public transport running close by the Centre (Circle Route 998/999).
  • Rosalie Park (public parking) – daily charges apply (approx. $10) – within walking distance to QEIIMC

A map of these carparks is available here .

Cycling and walking

For UWA staff who opt to cycle or walk to work, the following end-of-trip facilities are available on the UWA Health Campus:

  • L Block – men’s showers and lockers are located on the ground floor and first floor
  • L Block – ladies’ showers and lockers are located on the ground floor, first floor and second floor
  • M Block – men’s showers and lockers are located on the ground floor
  • M Block – women’s showers and lockers are located on the ground floor and first floor
  • N Block – unisex shower located in the ground floor ambulatory toilet
  • J Robin Warren Library - unisex shower located in the ground floor ambulatory toilet

Bike racks are located between L and M blocks, around N Block, outside of OCHWA and in the carpark between OHCWA and K Block.
