The Professional and General Employees Agreement 2017 provides for the establishment of the Professional and General Employees Consultative Committee ( PGCC ). The role of the PGCC is to enable consultation between management and employees on workplace relations and human resource matters. The membership of the committee includes three elected staff representatives and one vacancy has arisen for a professional and general employee representative.

Nominations are invited from staff members interested in serving on the PGCC for a two year term from 2018 – 2020. Individuals nominating need to carefully consider their capacity to regularly attend committee meetings. There are generally four PGCC meetings over the year, and each meeting lasts for approximately one hour.

Nomination prerequisites : a member from professional and general staff

Voting criteria : professional and general staff only

Term of Office : two years (commencing April / May 2018)

Nomination process : Your nomination, accompanied by a brief statement of no more than 100 words identifying relevant experience and interest in the PGCC committee, should be forwarded by email to the Executive Officer, Rebecca Goodall in Human Resources by 5.00pm 17 April 2018 at [email protected] .

If a single nomination is received then the nominee will be automatically elected to the Committee. If nominations exceed the number of places on the Committee, a ballot of professional and general staff will be conducted. Staff will be advised in UWA Forward in the instance a ballot is required.
