The Academic Employees Agreement 2017 provides for the establishment of the Academic Employees Consultative Committee ( ACC ). The role of the ACC is to enable consultation between management and employees on workplace relations and human resource matters. The membership of the committee includes three elected staff representatives. Two vacancies have arisen for staff representative at Level D & E and at Level A & B, and a third vacancy for a Level C staff representative will arise from September 2018.

Nominations are invited from staff members interested in serving on the ACC for a two year term from 2018 – 2020. Individuals nominating need to carefully consider their capacity to regularly attend committee meetings. There are generally ten ACC meetings over the year, and each meeting lasts for approximately one hour.

Nomination prerequisites : a member from academic staff from Level D or E, Level C and Level A or B

Voting criteria : academic staff only

Term of Office : two years (Level D & E and Level A & B commencing April / May 2018; Level C commencing September 2018)

Nomination process : Your nomination, accompanied by a brief statement of no more than 100 words identifying relevant experience and interest in the ACC committee, should be forwarded by email to the Executive Officer, Rebecca Goodall in Human Resources by 5.00pm 17 April 2018 at [email protected] .

If a single nomination for a position is received then the nominee will be automatically elected to the Committee. If nominations exceed the number of places on the Committee, a ballot of academic staff will be conducted. Staff will be advised in UWA Forward in the instance a ballot is required.
