The Academic Employees Agreement 2017 provides for the establishment of the Academic Employees Consultative Committee (ACC). The role of the ACC is to enable consultation between management and employees on workplace relations and human resource matters. The membership of the committee includes three elected staff representatives. Two vacancies have arisen for staff representative at Level D & E and at Level A & B, and a third vacancy for a Level C staff representative will arise from September 2018.

Individuals nominating need to carefully consider their capacity to regularly attend committee meetings. There are generally ten ACC meetings over the year, and each meeting lasts for approximately one hour.
