The University Secretariat is undertaking a project to review and update the University’s current statutes and regulations, required as a result of amendments to the University of Western Australia Act 1911 (WA) by the Western Australian government in 2016. As part of this, the University will be consolidating the University’s current 24 statutes to a single ‘University of Western Australia Statute’ (UWA Statute).
This project is being done in consultation with the Senate, Academic Board, Student Guild and Convocation, each of whom have endorsed the proposed structure and approach for the legislative review.
