The EZONE UWA Student Hub is moving into the next phase of work with construction about to begin on the main building.

The main impacts of this will be:

  • Footpath closure - The footpath connecting Fairway and James Oval (running between the Environmental Systems Engineering building and Civil and Mechanical Engineering building) will be closed from Tuesday 3 April . Alternative access routes are via Fairway Entry 2 or immediately north of the Indian Ocean Marine Research Centre (IOMRC) building. This closure will remain in effect until November 2019.
  • Car park closure – A section of Car Park 15 (north of the fig tree outside Civil and Mechanical Engineering) will be closed from Monday 9 April . A parking map detailing alternative car parking is available here and this change will remain in effect until November 2019.
  • Fairway Entry 2 closure – From 2 April until 15 April, Fairway Entry 2 will be closed to vehicles. A temporary access route to Car Park 16 and the Physics building will be made available via Fairway Entry 1. Fairway Entry 2 will continue to be open to pedestrians.

The pre-construction work of moving staff and students from affected zones into alternative offices and laboratories is almost complete.

The official groundbreaking ceremony for the EZONE UWA Student Hub will be held on Thursday 5 April with construction commencing that week.
