UWA academic staff travel far and wide attending conferences and industry meetings.

The next time you are travelling for work, consider connecting with alumni to share research and UWA updates, exchange ideas.

These meet-ups allow alumni to engage meaningfully in the UWA community, no matter where they live.

Professor Barry Marshall dined with graduates in Chicago, for example, while there to present at a leading gastrointestinal conference last year. One of those graduates was Michael Wood, the Consul-General for Chicago.

If you would like to meet overseas alumni while you are travelling, the Alumni Relations team can set things up ahead of your visit and follow-up with you after your return.

Find out more about alumni networks and consider connecting for coffee or a meal the next time you travel for work.

Contact the Alumni Relations team on 6488 8000.
