Charmaine Papertalk Green, a local poet, writer, visual artist, and WACRH Research Associate and John Kinsella launched their book of poems False Claims of Colonial Thieve at the Perth Festival Writers Week last week which is published through Magabala Books.

Two of Australia’s greatest poets, Charmaine and John call into question what we think we know about country, colonisation, land and identity. Each poem is part of a striking conversation which weaves two differing lives and experiences together.

Charmaine’s mother is of the Wajarri and Amangu people and her father of the Badimaya people. John is a well-known poet and former Geraldton resident.
