We are pleased to announce the winners from September’s Concur Travel – Qantas competition.

The UWA school or unit with the highest proportion of approved flight-bookings made via Concur TRAVEL (as opposed to Concur REQUEST where assistance is provided by a consultant), is the Office of Strategy, Planning and Performance, who made ninety-three per cent of all bookings in the system. Qantas have provided them with a voucher of $1,500.

Two individual UWA staff travellers were selected from a number of users who used Concur TRAVEL to book fifty per cent or more of their approved flight-bookings. Professor Jane Heyworth, Deputy Head, School of Population Health and Samantha Harper, Research Fellow, Centre for Rock Art Research and Management have each won a $250 voucher from Qantas.

Congratulations to our winners, you will be contacted shortly with further details on how to redeem the vouchers.

Since Concur was introduced in September 2016, there have been 8,209 approved bookings of which twenty-nine per cent were booked using Concur TRAVEL.

The University is aiming for eighty per cent of all domestic trips and fifty per cent of all international trips to be booked using Concur TRAVEL. The benefits of this facility include:

  • Search for all available flights online in Concur
  • Select and reserve your flights immediately
  • Access UWA’s airline and hotel contracts for cheaper fares/rates
  • Auto-approval for domestic bookings for UWA Staff
  • Don’t pay agency fees from your Project Grant

How to book in Concur TRAVEL

Concur TRAVEL can be used for all simple domestic and international bookings. See this video.
