Colleagues

I wish to advise that Ms Lyn Ellis, Director of the Raine Medical Research Foundation will be retiring at the end of this year.  Lyn will be leaving UWA after 30 years, 23 of which were dedicated to administering the Raine Foundation.

Lyn has made a tremendous contribution by implementing and managing programs that have given the Foundation its long-standing reputation for excellence. She directed the activities of the foundation, overseeing a significant increase in the portfolio of income and investments over the years.  She has also steered the Foundation into highly successful partnerships, including the WA Department of Health, the BrightSpark Foundation, SGIO, Cancer Foundation, the Heart Foundation, the Keogh Institute, the Edith Cockell Bequest and more recently, the Charter Hall Group.

Lyn has always gone above and beyond with her personal commitment to the Foundation.  On behalf of the Raine Foundation Research Committee, I thank Lyn for her passion and dedication to upholding Mary Raine’s vision of advancing medical research in WA.

I also wish to welcome the incoming Director, Dr Amanda Cleaver, who has been working with Lyn and the Foundation for over two years, and brings with her more than 15 years of experience across the medical research and research management fields.  We look forward to an exciting future for the Foundation led by Amanda.

Regards

Robyn Owens
