This year the University Club is acting as a collection centre for donations to the Smith Family’s Toy and Book Appeal.
By donating to the Appeal, you can help bring a little bit of the festive season to Australian children who otherwise wouldn’t receive a gift over the holidays. New toys, books and educational items for 0–12-year-olds are all welcome.
Please leave gifts unwrapped, ensure they are no bigger than a school backpack and if batteries are required please include them. Donations can be delivered to Reception at the University Club until Monday 4 December.
The Smith Family was founded in 1922 when five businessmen decided to deliver toys to orphans on Christmas Eve. Since then, The Smith Family has evolved as an organisation but continues to deliver toys and books to disadvantaged children at Christmas.
