Good morning. I am pleased to announce that Professor Simon Biggs has been appointed the University’s Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor.

Professor Biggs will join us in March 2018 from the University of Queensland where he is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology. You can read more about this below.

Last week I travelled to China as part of a State Government delegation, led by Premier Mark McGowan to promote WA as a business and education destination. As a University, we value the partnerships we have with Chinese institutions and the visit was an opportunity to further develop important relationships and launch a new joint medical degree with Zhejiang University and South China University of Technology.
