Internationally recognised parenting expert Professor Matthew Sanders will focus on the role of evidence-based parenting programs in preventing serious problems in children when he delivers the inaugural Robin Winkler lecture at The University of Western Australia on Wednesday night.

Director, Parenting and Family Support Centre and Professor of Clinical Psychology at The University of Queensland, Professor Sanders is also the founder of the acclaimed Triple P Positive Parenting Program.

The free public lecture commemorates the work of Robin Winkler, a highly influential teacher and researcher who died at the age of 43 while leading UWA’s clinical masters program at the psychology clinic, which was named after him.

The lecture is co-hosted by the UWA Institute of Advanced Studies and UWA School of Psychological Science.
