I am pleased to announce the appointment of leading West Australian marketer, Owen Davies, as the University’s new Chief Marketing Officer. He will be taking up the role on Monday 4th December.
Owen’s appointment comes at an important time for the University as we seek to enhance our external brand and grow our student numbers.
Owen has 20 years of brand, marketing, market research and strategy experience after working in senior roles with Crown Resorts since 2007 and prior to that with leading global market research firm Synovate.
He is currently the General Manager of Marketing at Crown Perth. In this role he leads the development of Crown Perth’s marketing strategy, planning, brand, campaign and marketing communications.
Owen has a track-record of delivering marketing plans that have driven strong growth for large West Australian and national brands. Owen’s proudest career achievements include driving the business case and successful bid for a Perth-based Super Rugby team in 2004, subsequent creation of the Western Force brand, leading the launch of the Crown Perth brand in 2012, and more recently establishment of new research, analytics, and strategy platforms for Crown nationally.
