Athletics Australia has announced the Australian teams selected to compete at the upcoming 29th Summer Universiade and 2017 Oceania Athletics Championships. 15 of WA's rising stars have been named across three Australian teams, including two members of our UWA Athletics Club, UWA Student Stephen Clough and UWA Alumni Alain Dutton.
Stephen will compete in the Men’s Pole Vault at the 29th Summer Universiade in Taipei this August following a stellar 2017 season. Stephen has cleared the required qualifier height several times this year and recently won bronze at the Australian Athletics Championships held in Sydney.
Alain will compete in the 800m and 1500m running events at the 2017 Oceania Athletics Championships in Fiji this June.
