Good morning. Last year Australia’s 39 universities worked with the Human Rights Commission to conduct the first comprehensive national student survey on sexual assault and harassment as part of the Respect. Now. Always. initiative.

Questions have recently been raised in the media about universities releasing their individual survey data and I want to confirm that we have committed to do so once the national report has been completed. We will use these results to improve how we support our students and manage safety issues on campus.

As we head into a long weekend break I have been reflecting on what we have achieved together in Q1. We have begun to make significant progress on our strategic priorities and I am confident the rest of 2017 will bring more exciting opportunities. Thank you all for the role you have played and I hope you enjoy a relaxing and safe Easter break.
