Works are currently underway at the Crawley campus to establish a new podium for five flagpoles, landscaping and lighting improvements at the Winthrop entrance of the University.
The aim of the work is to replace and realign the three existing flagpole system to five flagpoles which will accommodate new equal-sized flags (Australian, Aboriginal, LGBTQIA, State and a University flag).
The works will commence in April, and are expected to be completed by the end of May 2017.
Project timeframe for works:
- All flagpoles in new position 14 April
- Lights operational by 20 April
- Vegetation complete by 23 April
- All flags up and flying by 23 April
- Paving work to be undertaken during 20 to 30 May
