Following on from its successful launch in 2015, UWA Sport Saturday Morning Yoga on the grass is back for another year, with a slightly later timeslot allowing for a well-earned Saturday morning sleep in.
The sessions (which are free for staff, student’s, alumni and the general public) are led by qualified yoga teachers who vary the style of yoga from week to week, allowing participants to experience the full range of techniques and benefits yoga offers.
“No matter your age or physical condition, everyone can benefit from improved health and wellbeing through yoga, and that is why it is a focus for us here at UWA Sport,” says program coordinator Moira O’Brien-Smith. “We are excited to have had so many participants come down in recent weeks and contribute to cultivating this great sense of community with such a positive atmosphere.”
To join in, just bring a mat, plenty of water and enjoy the serenity of outdoor yoga.
The University Club of Western Australia welcomes participants for breakfast and/or coffee after class, for table reservations call 6488 4805.
