The UWA Career Mentor Link is a terrific program that matches mentors with student mentees. The program has been going from strength to strength over the last few years and already UWA Career Mentor Link and Woman in Engineering program has had more than 320 students register their interest and this number is expected to grow. What this means is that we need more mentors.

Career Mentor Link is a one-on-one mentoring programme, sponsored by Visagio and Fluor, running for six months from April to October in conjunction with faculties to:

  • support students in developing skills to manage their career
  • provide students with an industry perspective to enhance their academic learning
  • prepare students for transition to the workplace
  • establish mutually beneficial relationships between industry, the University and its students

We are looking for mentors from a wide range of industries. As a mentor you will make a difference to a student’s university experience and career and many mentors have gained significant personal satisfaction by taking part in the program.

To cope with the growing popularity of the program, the Careers Centre has launched a web based platform that effortlessly matches Career Mentor Link mentors with mentees.
