The political process to enable change on marriage equality in Australia is currently under debate. There will be a postal plebiscite on marriage equality. People have until 6pm on Tuesday 7 November, 2017 to send in their vote. For those not on the electoral roll the deadline to register is 24 August 2017.

As a platinum employer for LGBTI inclusion , UWA supports marriage equality and support is available for staff affected by the debate and plebiscite campaign through the Employee Assistance Program .

Through UWA’s ALLY Network , the university fosters an inclusive culture and acknowledges diversity on campus and all staff can participate in ALLY training and become an ALLY.
