Team UWA kicked off day two of competition with an early tee off at The Vines, with overall team captain Christine making a stellar start to her round in the golf.

The Women's and men's hockey teams also had an early start, with both losing their only matches of the day in hard-fought games at the Supa Turf.

Mixed beach, men's table tennis, and squash kicked off the day with their first wins of the tournament, before the onset of rain meant beach volleyball had to be cancelled ahead of our men's biggest game of the round!

With tennis and ultimate also cancelled due to weather conditions - play for these matches was rescheduled for day three of competition.

After a brief rain out, Athletics events began again in the early afternoon, with Team UWA competing in several events -placing in the triple jump and decathlon events and running well with a strong tail wind in the 400m semi-final, 1500m final, steeplechase, 800m and 400m hurdles throughout the afternoon.

Our Men's soccer team braved the elements in a hard fought 3-0 win over ECU in tough conditions, and Mixed touch finished up the day second in their group, with semi-finals scheduled for day three!

Our results in the poo l were our biggest surprise of the day, Team UWA were hot favourites to win the 4x100m relay, and came away with a strong win, with Nick Brown and Alex Milligan leading the team to victory! The 100m breaststroke saw us come away with a third and fifth place from Alex Milligan and John Sheppard respectively, and team UWAs Nick Brown smashed the Australian Uni Games record in the 100m butterfly, in a time of 53.84.
