Monday, 29 August 2016

The Physics service yard and adjacent car bays will be closed from 6.30am – 9am on Tuesday 30 August 2016 to allow for the placement of a temporary liquid nitrogen storage tank.

There will be no vehicle or pedestrian access to the southern entry of the Physics building, or the ramp from the carpark to the west side of the Reid Library, during these times.

To allow for the works to occur, users of the area are asked to ensure there are no vehicles located in the affected car bays from 11pm Monday, 29th August and to make alternative arrangements for deliveries.

The relocation of the Physics liquid nitrogen storage tank is a project designed to improve the security and safety surrounding the bulk storage facilities for liquid nitrogen and helium gas/liquid on campus.

Please be advised there will be ongoing disruptions in the area as the project progresses through to construction from September – December 2016.

Campus Management will keep all users informed of the works program however if you have any questions please contact Capital Works Project Manager Gerald Stack on 6488 2047 or email [email protected] .
