Across the month of September, held in the Futures Observatory a range of workshops, presentations, webinars and panels will explore the use of mobile and in-context learning in Higher Education. Featuring webinars from mLearning specialists Professor John Traxler (UK), Professor Agnes Kukulska-Hulme (UK) and The Learning Blog’s Julian Stodd (UK). As well as presentations our own Associate Professor Martin Forsey on the flipped classroom, Kim Flintoff (Curtin) and Richard Stals (ECU) on their experience with mobile learning. Participate in the many workshops, think tanks and interactive demonstrations running throughout the month; take the Masterclass on mobile video or discover which apps are best for your students with one of our learning technologists or experience virtual reality with Immersia VR followed by an informal networking session. mLearning Summit

21st September at the University Club

8.00am – 12noon

Join us for our main event, the mLearning Summit featuring our own Professor Gilly Salmon addressing the role of mobile learning in blended education. Dr Thomas Cochrane from Auckland University of Technology who has managed and implemented over 40 mobile learning projects, who also has a focus on student-generated content and student-generated learning contexts and bridging formal and informal learning environments. Culminating in a panel discussion including representatives from fellow Western Australian Universities discussing their approaches and thoughts around mobile learning within their University communities.
