EECE postgraduate, Shenglong Yu, won First Prize at the IEEE Australia Council 2015 Student Paper Contest. The contest is an opportunity for students in the electrical and electronics and related engineering disciplines to showcase their work.

The School of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering would like to congratulate Shenglong for his win on his paper entitled “State Estimation of Doubly Fed Induction Generator Wind Turbine in Complex Power Systems”.

Shenglong is a PhD student of EECE Professors Tyrone Fernando and Herbert Iu, who lead the Power and Clean Energy (PACE) group.
