Applications for the Fay Gale Fellowships 2017 open Monday 15 August 2016.

Fay Gale Fellowships are awarded annually to staff in the early stage of their career to assist them to spend a period of time interstate or overseas attending a conference or engaging in other activities that support their career. Fellowship funds can also be used to supplement existing study leave/staff development plans already partly funded through other sources.

A number of fellowships are generally offered with the total combined value of $50,000 being distributed amongst successful applicants.

To be eligible to apply, you need to be

-     an academic or professional staff member,

-     ongoing or fixed term* appointment,

-     employed on a full-time or part-time basis with 0.5 FTE or more, and

-     completed at least two years continuous service at the University.

Unfortunately, ARC Post-Doctoral Fellows are not able to apply.

*Applicants on fixed-term contracts must have sufficient time to run on their contract in order to be able to complete the fellowship and the return of service obligation within the contract period.

Online applications will be accepted from 15 August 2016 and need to be submitted by 7 October 2016.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome in December with funds available from January 2017.
