Over the weekend BI&TS carried out some planned network maintenance at the UWA Institutional Data Centre (IDC). As noted in last week’s Forward, this maintenance was required because a core piece of equipment was damaged when lightning struck the IDC in April and needed replacing.

A vast amount of pre-planning occurred to ensure the maintenance was completed successfully, and no unexpected issues arose.
