The Swan River Run is on Sunday 24th July and both the 5km and 14km runs will finish on Hackett Drive next to UWA's Riley Oval. The 5km run starts at 7:30am and the 14km run will start at 8:00am, with participants and spectators arriving at Riley Oval between the hours of 7:00am until 12:00pm. Organisers do not expect parking to be impacted with free shuttles constantly operating to return particpants to the city.

The Event Village where participants can relax and refuel after the race will be located on Riley Oval. The Event Village site build will commence on Friday 22 July from 9:00am and all infrastructures will be offsite by Monday the 25 July by 12pm. During this time there will be multiple vehicles entering the area, as well as a forklift being used onsite. Security has been arranged to usher vehicles through, but please proceed with caution around Riley Oval during this period.

Please be advised that temporary road closures will be in place around Perth CBD, East Perth, Kings Park and Crawley. Below is a list of road closures around UWA.

Freeways/Highways
6:30am – 11:00am

  • Mitchell Freeway southbound off-ramp to Riverside Drive will be closed.
  • Mounts Bay Road from Winthrop Road to Point Lewis Rotary will be closed in both directions.

Kings Park
4:30am – 10:30am

  • Lovekin Drive between Forrest Drive and May Drive will be closed in both directions.
  • Forrest Drive will be closed in both directions.
  • Park Ave between Kings Park Ave and Forrest Drive will be closed in both directions.
  • Kings Park Ave between Park Ave and Mounts Bay Rd will be closed in both directions.

Crawley
4:30am – 1:00pm

  • Hackett Drive between Stirling Highway and Australia II Drive will be closed in both directions.
